

Notes already have their own indicator for temporal value so having notes also take up horizontal space proportional to their musical length can look ugly and is a waste of page space. Sibelius does that because that's how music should look. "Also, I don't know why Sibelius spaces the notes like THIS (ie with the half notes, in 4/4, shoved over to the last 3rd of the measures etc)." (if you're not using voices), or "Voice 1," "Voice 2," etc. Does anyone know how I can make this happen?"Īre you using different voices for each of the parts, or are they all in the first (blue) voice? Either way, you can use filters to either select "top note," "2nd note," etc.
